Biography

Mr. Julian Nava joins Rosette, LLP with over 6 years of representing the legal interests of tribal clients and serving American Indian communities. Julian has focused his legal practice exclusively on Indian law issues where he has served various Indian communities in numerous capacities. Julian served as Deputy Prosecutor for the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community as well as Chief Prosecutor for the Ak-Chin Indian Community. He also handled many different matters as in-house counsel with the Gila River Indian Community, including presiding on behalf of the Community in State and Tribal Courts.
Julian also served as staff attorney for the National Congress of American Indians in Washington D.C. and oversaw many different legal and policy issues affecting tribal communities. As a Native American attorney, he takes great pride in representing the interests of tribal clients and serving the interests of American Indian communities.

Julian was a summer law clerk with Rosette & Associates in the summer of 2008. He received his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, his Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona and his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma.
